We launched Centrestage in 2013 with the vision of gifting Kolkata some of it’s defining musicial moments to add to the rich tradition that we already have. Not an easy thing to do. Over the last seven years, we have aimed at trying out various musical formats, genres & artists to give our audiences a different taste every time. Over the years, by God’s grace and support of our loyal audience, we could come up with milestones like ‘The Burmans’ back in 2013 in Science City which is still regarded by many as one of the best ever shows on SD & RD Burman, the immensely popular ‘Platinum Pancham’ that we did for ETV Bangla (now Colors Bangla), the Kishore Kumar tribute show ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’, the big ticket Tagore show, ‘Reflections of Rabindranath’, the televised shows like ‘Zingadi Ek Safar’ for Zee Bangla and famed talk shows like ‘Soumitra & Aparna: A retrospective’ or the seminal talk show which has hit 1.5 lakh views on Youtube, ‘Amit Kumar in conversation with Pandit Tanmay Bose’.
